Belated thanks to all at Lloyds Residential for making our downsizing move happen.
We hadn’t moved for 40 years and had forgotten (or maybe purged from our memories) just how many people and events had to be slotted into place in order for us to change our home.
It’s fair to say that the chain was not without its challenges and without Patrick’s calm response to the hurdles and his willingness to get involved at all points in the chain at any time of the day or night, I may well have been swinging from the rafters!
I hope we don’t need to move again, but if we do I’ll look first at the Lloyds Residential listings.

Refundable Holding deposit - Capped at 1 weeks rent

Rent - The agreed monthly rent

Changes to tenancy - Capped at £50 inc VAT

Early termination charge - Not exceeding the landlord’s financial losses

Late payment of rent - Interest of 3% above BoE base rate for each day the rent is late, once it is 14 days overdue

Replacement keys - Reasonable costs or give the tenant the option to purchase themselves.
